About this part

The Hobbywing EZRun MINI28 1/28th Scale Sensored Brushless Combo incorporates revolutionary features in a 1/28th scale package. Built for 1/28th scale racing this powerful ESC is packed with the features needed to provide a competitive advantage on the racetrack while the 1626 brushless motor provides incredible power in a small package. At only 22mm long and 14mm wide the MINI28 ESC will fit in most 1/28 vehicles with ease. To achieve this small size a large aluminum heat sink has been integrated helping to lower temperatures for consistent performance. Even though this ESC is small there are still 26 different adjustable parameters to choose from. With the ability to access these options from a smartphone using the optional Hobbywing OTA module (HWA30850400 - Sold Separately) makes adjustments easier than ever. Packed with features and performance this MINI28 ESC from Hobbywing is an excellent choice for your next 1/28 scale build.

Boy is the sensor cable tiny!! Be careful to note the correct orientation when plugging this connector in. I damaged the connector on my first attempt connecting. Thankfully both the motor and the ESC include the sensor wire, so this wasn’t a show stopper. I do wish the sensor cables were a cm or two longer and the power and motor wires on the ESC were soldered up rather than out from the board. This wasn’t easily fixed with a little solder work.

Awesome combo I am having a blast with my 1/28 drift car highly recommended

Seriously amazing system for 1/27 scale drift. The boost and turbo settings are sweet. It has incredible feel. I bought a second Mini28 combo (with the 3500kv motor) almost immediately after buying the first one in order to put it in my other mini drifter. So good.

What reviewers say

Reviewers generally rate this 1/28 scale sensored brushless combo positively, with two of three reviews giving five stars and praising its feel and performance in drift cars, including its boost and turbo settings. One reviewer gave four stars and noted fragile sensor connectors that are easy to damage during installation, short sensor cables, and power and motor wires that exit the ESC board rather than being soldered flat. That reviewer said the issues were not a deal breaker because both motor and ESC include sensor wire. Review count is small, so these views may not represent all owners.

  • + Strong feel and performance in 1/28 drift cars
  • + Boost and turbo settings praised
  • + Motor and ESC include sensor wire
  • − Sensor connector is tiny and easily damaged
  • − Sensor cables are short
  • − Power and motor wires exit the ESC board rather than being soldered flat
