ESC arrived in non working order. The run around that I have received from Hobbywing has been aggravating to say the least. I ended up buying a new one from Amain to replace the broken one that was provided and then I had to pay Hobbywing an additional "Its not our fault" bribery fee to get them to honor their manufacturers warranty. There are times in these hobbies when you just cant wait over a month to get a replacement or to process a return. We are racers........We need our products to compete!
Im putting this in a micro B. Its a 2mm shaft so I had to get new pinion gears. I also needed a motor mount that will facilitate a 16mm can. Its been a difficult build but I believe it will turn out smooth. Also I may need to trim the plastic side rails a little both on the motor side and the pinion side. So far the 14t pinion is a hair small to get the mesh just right. Its a tight fit. Im still waiting on the 15t,16t,and 17t pinions. This should help get my mesh smoother however it does not allow a whole lot of gearing options. I do have the 34t and the 36t spur gears from hot racing. Soo I do get a few options. Note the original motor mount will put bind on your chassis if you go with this motor. The slotted black hot racing one does too. I gave it 5 stars. Was it a perfect drop in?.. NO! But with a little persistence its gunna make this little car rock the day.
