installed in RC10 Metallic edition and it runs very nicely. just enough extra to spin the car out and enough smooth torque and speed to make this thing unstoppable! Easy installation. everything fit and runs as described. very happy with it and so far would purchase again!
Couldn't be happier with this setup, bought it for my T-Maxx conversion. I was going to go with a bigger 1/8th scale motor, but the friends at A-Main convinced me this was enough. Let me tell you, on 3s in my T-Maxx Original this thing RIPS!!! full backflips from standing still. I did buy the programming card to help adjust the braking and throttle punch, it seems extra sensitive with sticky wheels on pavement.
Good combo for an excellent price. The Amazon kits aren’t but maybe 30% cheaper and you get much lower specs and performance. Would easily buy again and recommend
I purchased a Arrma Big Rock 223S truck, upon driving it for the first time, the truck was “dogging” or “coughing” when starting off / accelerating, Customer Service treated me very well, listened to my explanation of how the truck was behaving, they suggested I needed a new motor, ESC and receiver. The new parts replacement parts arrived quickly and the Big Rock 223S performs very nicely. Thank you Amain Hobbies! I am a happy customer. Anthony F.
Asked the staff at A main what motor/esc i should put in my arrma gorgon to make it 3s brushless on a budget. They got back to me fast with a hobbywing motor esc combo that was under $200. I bought it and got 45mph out of it and, the system runs perfectly! Couldn't be happier with my purchase. Thanks again to the staff, y'all rock!!
Five reviews, mostly from verified owners, are broadly positive about this ESC and motor combo. Reviewers report strong performance in several chassis, including an Arrma Gorgon, a T-Maxx conversion and an RC10, with one describing very high speed on 3S. Installation is described as easy and the setup as good value for the price. One reviewer bought the combo after a dealer recommendation and reported a problem with a different truck, the Arrma Big Rock 223S, that was resolved by replacing the motor, ESC and receiver; that review is not clearly about this combo's own performance. One reviewer mentions a programming card was needed to tune braking and throttle punch, which felt sensitive on pavement. The sample is small, and reviews describe different vehicles.
