I must have gotten a dud out of the box. All I did was solder the plug and plugged it in a semicharged 2s lipo.... battery wires got super hot and the esc started to smoke. Tripled checked everything but it must have an internal fault. Already threw the box away so now I am out this and a battery. At least it didn't take the car with it. Long time user of HW products but I have noticed the quality has gone down hill. Do better Hobbywing.
Works great and fits perfectly in my Fazer. It’s tunable with the HW Program Card, which makes setup easy. Keep in mind, it only outputs 6V, so you won’t get high-voltage speed or torque. However, adding a BEC can solve that issue, giving you more fun time in the workshop. I paired this ESC with my Hobbywing QuicRun 3652SL G2 Sensorless Brushless Motor (3250KV), and it’s a fantastic combo! This setup is a quick little ripper—30mph is no problem. Temps stay low, and I have zero complaints. Highly recommend!
really impressive speed controller for the price and would definitely buy another one if I had to
So far I am very happy with the ease of setup with this ESC, Used it for a very budget friendly repower on a Losi Speed T for a 6 year old and he is loving his first RC. For the price on this and a Hobby wing motor you can't go wrong and I have it set at half power and his car is still smoking fast. Will easily be able to turn it up as he gains experience. Will happily use hobbywing products in the future!
These are great little esc's for the money! Setup was a breeze and without a hitch, and programming with the programming card was quick. This is installed in a WL Toys 124017 buggy V2 brushless that cost around $135.00. It has been regeared and has a Dumbo RC receiver, belted tires, motor cooling fan, 3S battery and the little thing will easily hit 60mph! I own $650.00 Arrma cars that are not this quick. I needed the esc as the 25amp esc that ships with the car is to small to handle 3S.
Four of five reviewers rate the Hobbywing Quicrun WP-10BL60 G2 highly, praising easy setup with the program card, low operating temperatures, strong performance in small cars and good value for money. One verified owner reported the ESC smoked and failed within minutes when connected to a semi-charged 2S LiPo, which they attributed to an internal fault; this is the only report of failure and the reviewer had already discarded the packaging. One reviewer notes the unit outputs 6V, so high-voltage speed and torque are limited without a BEC. Reviews appear to refer to this 2-3S variant.
- + Easy setup with the program card
- + Low temperatures under load
- + Strong speed for the price
- + Good value for money
- − One reported failure with smoke on first use
- − Outputs 6V, limiting high-voltage performance without a BEC
