The Hobbywing 40amp ESC V2 3-4S is a great speed controller. I have used mine on my 3D flatty for months now and it has worked flawlessly. I have noticed that the size and weight of V2 ESC is much less than previous versions which is great!
You can't beat the price. I was hesitant buying it for my 3D plane but it actually has smooth throttle response. I've been using it in my precision Aerobatic Ultimate AMR V2 because my PA Quantom esc burnt out. It is just as smooth as the Quantum esc running the PA Thrust 45 Revo 24 BL outrunner motor. Highly recommend if you are on a budget or just want a capable esc with smooth throttle response. I also love the reverse feature. Makes 3D much more interesting.
