About this part

Hobbywing Xerun XD10 Pro Drift Spec Brushless Speed Controller.

Features:

  • Built-in switch mode BEC with a maximum output of 10A and voltage adjustable from 5V to 7.4V (step: 0.1V) for usage with servos & other devices require different voltages.
  • A separate PRG/FAN port is able to power an external fan to maximize cooling performance or connect an LCD program box or WiFi module to the ESC.
  • Variable frequency regulation of PWM & brake frequencies allows users to precisely regulate the driving & braking forces (of the motors).
  • Multiple protections: low-voltage cutoff protection, ESC and motor thermal protection, and fail-safe (throttle signal loss protection), reverse polarity protection (the external standard cap pack will still be damaged if battery reversal occurs).
  • Data logging for recording the maximum ESC/motor temperature, motor speed/RPM, and others in real-time.
  • Firmware upgrade via Hobbywing multifunction LCD program box (PC only) or OTA Programmer (item sold separately)

I have several of these now installed in a few full drift car builds and after having a chance to use the ESC with it's Over The Air blue tooth module I will give this ESC 5 stars. Why 5 stars? It connects very fast, the interface works really well on the phone. I use it as a nice tuning tool all the time. Reliable and if you use real time data tracking you can see the revs and throttle input. Use this to establish a baseline, see the effects of boost and turbo with different timings. Useful when changing gears, rims and tires, etc... I leave the OTA module connected to the ESC all the time. You can choose to take it off. It looks great, the fan that comes with works really well. Yeah the ESC costs some $ but I think its worth it! If your considering this just do it. I have several of these now and will install in future builds. No regrets here.

This is the best esc in my opinion I use this esc in all my drift cars hobbywing is the way to go for esc and motor but that’s just my opinion and the esc has a great fan do where the esc dosent overheat or burn up

This ESC. wow. That's what I can say. The construction is gorgeous, no matter the color. Easy access to the programming port and power buttons. Comes with matching aluminum fan and tucks away nicely on any chassis. Paired with the D10 motor and OTA programmer, it can do some incredible things. you want that "F1" sound from your motor? You'll get it. Tuning this is a breeze with the OTA programmer, plenty of knowledge and support available. Absolutely one of my favorite purchases for my SD3.0. Rear-mounted on your chassis makes any access a breeze and the capacitors tuck nicely underneath it.

Fantastic ESC for drifting. I chose to pair it with the Bluetooth programmer and haven't had any issues changing parameters or viewing live data. The matching fan is also a nice touch. The only thing preventing me from giving it a 5 star is that, if you change the low voltage cutoff from the factory 3.3V per cell, you have to convert your desired cutoff for the full pack voltage. I changed the cutoff parameter to 3.6V and ran one of my batteries down to 2.7V per cell before I caught it. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this ESC and would buy again.

It's a decent speed control. It doesn't have a whole lot of turbo. The furitek I have on my other vehicles seems to be more turbo on it. I feel like it's a good speed control. A lot of people run it. Accuvance whats I'm running on a couple vehicles I have a lot of drift vehicles but I would not give it a five-star review you for reaching out. Jack

What reviewers say

Seven reviews, all for the red variant, rate this drift ESC highly, averaging about 4.7 out of 5. Reviewers consistently praise its build quality, the matching aluminium fan, and the Bluetooth OTA programmer, which they describe as fast to connect and useful for tuning and live data viewing. One reviewer notes the fan and tuning options as strengths. A recurring caution concerns low voltage cutoff: one reviewer found that changing the cutoff from the factory 3.3V per cell requires converting it to full pack voltage, and an unintended deep discharge followed. One reviewer found the turbo output modest compared with another brand. Several reviews are brief or enthusiastic without detail.

  • + Fast Bluetooth OTA programmer connection
  • + Matching aluminium fan
  • + Solid build and easy access to controls
  • + Extensive tuning options and live data
  • − Low voltage cutoff must be converted to pack voltage
  • − Modest turbo compared with another brand
  • − Some reviews are brief with little detail
