So far so good! At this time I have only had a chance to install it in the car and perform a shakedown in the driveway, but the quality of ESC appears excellent. I have the OTA programmer and intend to dial it in over the weekend at the track. If I can I'll update this review after that run.

Bought this as an upgrade for a 3-day race for my 1/10 carpet buggy. Ran well for the first day of practice and seeding. Second day on qualifying it stopped working. That was a lot of $$$ for an ESC to crap out.

They moved the power button to a more inconvenient side. For this reason alone I kinda wish I'd gotten another XR10

Couldn’t ask for a better ESC. It’s perfect for my carpet 17.5 car

What reviewers say

Reviewers generally rate this Hobbywing Xerun XR10 Pro G3X stock-spec 160A sensored ESC highly, with several praising its quality, reliability and ease of programming with the optional module. Buyers also mention a good experience with the retailer, including quick shipping. One reviewer, who used it in a carpet buggy at a three-day race, reported it ran well on the first day but stopped working during the second day's qualifying, describing it as a costly failure. Another reviewer found the relocated power button inconvenient. One early reviewer had only completed a driveway shakedown and planned to update after track use, but no later update is included. Overall, positive reviews outnumber negative ones, though the failure report is a notable single-unit concern.

  • + Good build quality
  • + Reliable performance
  • + Easy to program with the module
  • + Quick shipping from retailer
  • − Stopped working during a race (single report)
  • − Power button placed on an inconvenient side
