Excellent 8th scale Motor-ESC combo! Unbeatable compared with equivalent Tekin, Castle, and of course any no-name or generic combo out there. I run mine in an XB8E and it’s truly a match made in heaven.
Motor runs very well. Put it in a Tekno Truggy and it has plenty of power for whatever you're going to do with it. Would defiantly recommend.
After running hobbywing in my 1/10 buggy and wheeler it’s why I had to continue with in my rc8b4. Hobbywing quality and reliability you expect. It is fast!!! Haven’t even tweaked any esc settings. I would 10/10 recommend to anyone looking to be competitive in ebuggy!
So far its working way better then the Tekin Gen 3 system i bought and then Tekin wouldn't warranty it out. Because it was 2 months out of warranty when it happened when it fried the system
Amazing power, very smooth linear. Love the plug in programmer(sold separately).
Reviewers are broadly positive about the Hobbywing Xerun XR8 Plus G2S and 4268SD G3 2200kV combo, describing it as powerful, smooth and reliable across 1/8 and 1/10 buggies and truggies. Several compare it favourably with Tekin systems, and one reviewer reports a Tekin system failing outside warranty. A single 4-star review reports an abrupt reverse behaviour: throttle stays at zero and then jumps to near full speed at about 70 percent of stick travel, and the reviewer hopes for a firmware fix. Some reviews are brief or enthusiastic without technical detail, and most do not mention programming beyond one note that a plug-in programmer is sold separately.
- + Strong power
- + Smooth, linear throttle response
- + Reliability
- + Favourable comparison with Tekin systems
- − Abrupt reverse behaviour reported in one review
- − Plug-in programmer sold separately
