Perfect combo for the entry level of electric RC racing. Running this setup in my FWD Schumacher FT9 for indoor and outdoor events—it’s dialed in. Easy enough for newcomers to handle, but with the performance and reliability that serious racers appreciate. Great balance, crisp response, and ready for track days..

Purchased this system as a "cheap" replacement for my old electronics. I run on an outdoor, medium sized concrete track with some friends. Our track layouts range from medium speed with 180degree turns to more open layouts. First time running this combo I was disappointed. This sytem feels very soft with no punch at all. I knew that the justock sytstem is more budget oriented but you really do get what you pay for. The esc does have a few settings which can be accessed and changed using the hobbywing controller and the esc does include a small fan so that's nice. If you are just starting with RC and touring cars, then this sytem might be a good starting point. If you are a bit more seasoned, then I would recommend saving a bit more $$$ for a better combo.

What reviewers say

Reviewers generally rate this 17.5T sensored brushless combo highly for ease of setup, smooth and quiet operation, and compact size, with several reporting it works well in touring, FWD and sprint-style cars. One reviewer had not yet run it beyond unboxing and noted pre-soldered ESC wires requiring the user to solder the motor and battery connectors. A dissenting reviewer found the system soft with little punch on a medium-sized concrete track with tight turns, describing it as budget-oriented and better suited to beginners than experienced racers. Reviews are few and mixed on performance, with the 3-star review the only critical account.

  • + Easy setup
  • + Smooth, quiet operation
  • + Compact ESC size
  • + Works in multiple chassis
  • − Soft response, lacks punch on tight tracks
  • − Requires soldering connectors
  • − Positioned as budget option for beginners
