About the Carbon Cub
Cleetus McFarland
Garrett Mitchell, better known as Cleetus McFarland, started his internet career working for 1320 Video. One evening, in front of Tom Bailey's Chevy Camaro, a legend was born. Fast forward to today, Cleetus runs a successful YouTube channel where he posts racing content along with content around his own RC and full size aviation adventures. He owns a race track, a full size Carbon Cub, and an MD 500 (530F) helicopter affectionately named Consuela. Now, you can own a plane that sports the same paint scheme as Cleet's Carbon Cub.

Very easy to put together and I like the way it looks. I was able to get a 4000 s3 battery to fit for longer flight time I just need to get out and start flying.
An excellent plane for the rookie pilot. Easy to fly and so far durable. I haven’t crashed it yet but just getting it to the park without any breakage can be challenging at times. I flew one whole battery charge with three take offs and four landings with no problems. I have never flown an rc plane before. The sims help but nothing like the real thing. I do have the gps and the landing assist modules installed. Worth the money for sure and who doesn’t love Cletus?
I was looking to get into the world of R/C planes after many years running r/c trucks and cars. I ran into a few videos of this being built and flown by new pilots and an easy way to get into the hobby. I was able to put the plane together and had it in the air the same weekend. I had purchased a few light park flyers but one crash and they are gone. This plane is easy to fly in about 7-8 mph winds. I could not control the plane over 10mph wind. It's big and easy to see in the sky. Wait for a nice calm day to fly.
easy to build very nice plane still got more to learn about it though some things need to reread on like the motor etc not sure what im dooing wrong there yet but time will tell have not flown it either so my review cant really be completed but im satisfied with it so far.
All four reviewers rate the Carbon Cub S 2 1.3m Cleetus McFarland edition highly and describe it as easy to assemble and attractive. Reviewers who have flown it, including a self-described beginner, report it is easy to fly and has held up well so far, with one flight of several takeoffs and landings without problems. One reviewer notes that getting it to the flying field without breakage can be challenging. Another reports fitting a larger 4000 mAh battery for longer flights. One reviewer found it hard to control in winds above about 10 mph and recommends calm conditions. One reviewer had not yet flown it and another was still learning the motor setup.
