Summary: Id say you need to by the plane rtf with foam glue and a spare propeller and a spare rear wing set. Then you can crash like 20 times and still have alot of fun along the way. Its a great plane to learn on and i crashed it more then a few times. The crashes are really comical and 100 percent user error on landing (no mid flight crashes and only one take off crash) Prolly like 10 so far and im thinkimg im on my last glue options (landing is hard :) ) I have had some good ones and great one here or there and some terrible ones (rudder wrong way, plow omtp a tree) So if you have the foam gorilla glue, you can reuse the stock parts like 10 re-glues and one fuselage catastrophe. I am getting better at flying so when i feel comfortable, I ahve two new wings (front back), cowling, and fuselage to replace. 180 for all that. The most fragile thing on the airplane is the back wing set (rudder and elevator...specifically the rudder took a inch or two off it cause it was bent to hell and still flys great. I let my 4 year old fly, and use the oh sheit button when hes going the wrong way, and he giggles its a great time. Great father son time, beginner mode is great for my kid and now that i have crashed a few time intermediate is much more fun. occasionally ill get some altitude and flip it over to advance and do some barrel rolls and loops, then flip back in a panic. . . oh close one haha. All in all, i think this is a 500-600 wtih battery and charger investment so if you are under the expectation of only spending 300 then you may need to save a little longer. Cheers folk, keep looking up, stay curious.

its my first plane so im cant compare it to anything but i like it.. it wasent hard to put together... it flys nice. i wish the instructions explain the different modes in terms for first time pilots.. theres alot of terms and thimgs i had to look up to inderstand but again i like the plane. you need to purchase the servo to install the flaps but yet the linkage is provided with the plane. landing sensor and gps module was not provided in the kit. so its ready to fly but not complete.... i wish they would just make the kit complete.. and call it a day.. but yea overall great purchase in my opinion..

What reviewers say

Four verified reviews, three rated 5/5 and one 3/5. Reviewers generally describe the Carbon Cub S 2 1.3m RTF as easy to assemble and enjoyable to fly, and it is seen as suitable for beginners and returning pilots. Several reviewers report frequent crashes during landing, with one noting the need for spare parts such as propellers, rear wing sets and foam glue. One reviewer said the instructions were unclear on flight modes for first-time pilots. Another said the flaps require a separate servo and that a landing sensor and GPS module were not included, so the kit is ready to fly but not fully complete. The lowest rating reports a bent landing gear component that prevented flight, with dissatisfaction about the support experience. Sample size is small.

  • + Easy to assemble
  • + Flies well
  • + Suitable for beginners
  • + Good learning plane
  • − Frequent landing crashes
