These landed and took off from water well. I did have some problems as there is no rudder and the valiant would not have enough rudder to over come weather veining. I also had water get in my reciver when I turned the plain upside down after first battery. Timber evolution has rudders and battery door on top.
Hi, I purchased this float set last winter. I just opened it up and it contains two right side floats and no left side float. I would like to return for a float set with a left and right side floats. Tim Nettesheim
Great quality and work as they should. To reiterate previous reviews, the screws to attach rigging are TIGHT, and the rigging does interfere with the battery hatch. Battery can still be hooked up and whatnot, but it's slightly more challenging.
Three verified owners reviewed the HobbyZone Super Cub LP Float Set. Two report that the floats perform well on water, with one noting good quality and that they work as intended. One owner found the lack of a rudder made the plane hard to control in windy conditions and said water entered the receiver when the plane was turned upside down to access the battery. Another owner reported receiving two right-side floats and no left-side float. Two reviewers say the rigging attachment screws are tight and the rigging partly obstructs the battery hatch, making battery access slightly more difficult. One reviewer compares it with the Timber Evolution, which has rudders and a top-mounted battery door.
