About the T-28 Trojan
Easy To Fly
Learning to fly RC airplanes is now easier than ever with the HobbyZone T-28 Trojan450mm! Its ultra-micro size allows for flying in smaller spaces like large yards, parks, and soccer fields, where larger “trainer” models may struggle. With its “pop off” prop saver design and durable EPP construction, it's one of the toughest trainer airplanes available. Featuring SAFE (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology, it helps prevent overcontrol, loss of orientation, and crashes, making it accessible for nearly everyone to learn to fly successfully.
Skill
Skill Level 1 “trainer” aircraft are ideal for beginners and first-time RC (Radio Controlled) pilots, as they require no prior experience to fly. Once you've successfully mastered flying the T-28 Trojan , you can progress to a larger and more capable trainer or a “Skill Level 2 the Next Step After A Trainer” model.
Durability
The unique “pop off” prop saver design and advanced EPP material construction create a lightweight yet incredibly durable airframe, capable of withstanding everyday flying without damage. A spare propeller is included, and if any airframe parts or components are damaged beyond repair, replacement airframes and spare parts are readily available.

This plane IS NOT a Horizon product and it DOES NOT have SAFE. This plane is something that Horizon Hobby is taking credit for, but actually had nothing to do with, this plane was developed and is manufactured by Top RC. This is yet another cash grab by Horizon Hobby. DO NOT BUY!!!
Perfect first plane got it for my daughter. Flight just like it's big brother
I purchased this product recently. The rudder, elevator do not respond very well. Ive attempted to return it for over one month. Horizon is Not good at customer service. They can sell you product, but if you need them . You're on your own. I do not recommend this product. oh BTW, I've spent 1000's on this hobby from Horizon. Good luck
Reviews are sharply divided. One reviewer praises the plane as a good first aircraft for a child, noting it flies like its larger counterpart. Two reviewers rate it 1/5: one claims the product is not a Horizon product, lacks SAFE technology, and was made by Top RC, while the other reports unresponsive rudder and elevator controls and a difficult, month-long return process with customer service. The reviews are few and conflicting, and the claims about manufacturer and SAFE features are not verified within the reviews themselves.
- + Good first plane for beginners
- + Flies like its larger version
- − Rudder and elevator unresponsive, per one review
- − Difficult return and customer service experience
- − Disputed claim that SAFE technology is absent and manufacturer differs from listing
