About the Crawlmaster 2n1
High-Torque Performance in a Compact Design
The Crawlmaster 2n1 features a massive 21mm high-strength rotor, designed to maximize torque and low-speed control. Its custom 10-pole, 12-slot magnetics ensure ultra-smooth startup, giving crawlers the precision needed for technical maneuvers. Unlike larger systems, this motor maintains full 540-class power while reducing weight and size, making it an ideal choice for scale trucks and rock crawlers.
Integrated ESC for Plug-and-Play Convenience
This all-in-one motor and ESC system simplifies installation with prewired XT60 and JST connectors for quick setup. The integrated 40A ESC is preloaded with AM32 firmware, offering precise throttle control, drag brake tuning, and efficient power delivery. The included USB programmer allows for easy tuning and adjustments, ensuring optimal performance for any terrain.
Durable & Waterproof Construction
The Crawlmaster 2n1 is built to withstand the elements, featuring a fully sealed aluminum housing that protects against dust, dirt, and water. Its beefy bearings and robust internal components enhance longevity and durability, making it the perfect choice for extended trail sessions and extreme crawling conditions. Whether you're navigating rocky climbs or water crossings, this system is ready for the challenge.

I wanted to like this motor so much but after owning this motor for 2 months and only being able to use it for less than 15 minutes, all I can do is call it a disappointment. I got this motor and put it in my V-Mullet to test it. It was very coggy and punchy once it got out of sine mode. So I played with it for about 10 minutes and then it stopped. I checked the motor and it was very hot. So thinking that there was a setting issue I tried to update the firmware and settings. Watched an hour of Youtube instructional videos about how to update, and did the deed. Afterwards the motor would not even start up. I contacted HH and they sent me a RMA. I sent the motor back and they said the motor was defective and sent me a new one. I got the new motor and while it is not as bad as the first one it still is coggy at low speeds and heats up faster than any other motor I have. With this new motor I didn’t even install it in a vehicle, just bench tested it. It had no load on it and it still heated up to “ouchie” touch levels within minutes. Thinking the heating is a drag break problem I plugged in the adjustable drag break sensor wire to turn the drag break to 0. The motor was unable to boot up, it beeped once and turned 1/8th a turn then gave a sad “No” beeb and repeated this process until disconnected. I have totally lost all confidence in this motor and will not be installing it in any of my rigs. I am returning this motor and going with the other brand. While I can say that both (Amain and HH) company’s customer service was good, I am disappointed with HH for putting out such a bad product. This experience has left me hesitant to buy another HH product in the future. Also for more light reading go over to the 3000kV version review section.
Worked for about 10 minutes I had to ship it back to Holmes hobbies. Not sure what the outcome will be
It is what I expected from Holmes products. A little more expensive but worth the few extra dollars.

so far, so good. I needed this for my ax10 scorpion with a chassis. This motor fit so slick and has all the power and control you need. I want another ? Check our YouTube to see it go.
Reviews of the Holmes Hobbies Crawlmaster 2n1 Brushless Crawler ESC & Motor System (2300Kv) are split. Two reviewers, both rating it 1/5, report a unit that failed within about 15 minutes of use, becoming very hot and cogging, and one reports it would not start after a firmware update. Both describe returning the motor to the manufacturer under an RMA, with no outcome yet reported. Three reviewers rate it 5/5 and praise its fit in compact builds, its power and control, and the value relative to the price, with one noting it costs a little more. The positive reviews are shorter and less detailed than the failure report. The sample is small, and the reviews do not establish whether the failures are isolated or widespread.
