About this part

Servo Overview:

The BLS HV150 Micro Servo is a high-performance solution tailored specifically for mini and micro scale R/C rock crawlers and shifting applications. Its exceptional features make it a perfect choice for applications in need of extreme durability, high torque, and lightning-fast speeds. Engineered with a high-quality brushless motor and circuitry, this servo delivers massive performance and efficiency, ensuring smooth and precise operation even in the most challenging terrains. With its ability to be powered from 5V to 8.4V, it offers versatility and compatibility with up to 2S (8.4V) high input voltage! Moreover, the servo comes equipped with an aluminum servo horn, providing added durability and reliability during intense crawling sessions.

The HV150 robust construction and advanced features are designed to tackle demanding off-road conditions. The servo boasts an alloy case that is water-resistant, ensuring protection against moisture and debris, while its internals are fully waterproofed for added durability. The all-steel machined gears further enhance its reliability, providing maximum strength and resistance to wear and tear. The all-aluminum case with side fins maximizes heat dissipation, ensuring optimal performance even during prolonged use. Whether you're navigating tricky rock formations or shifting gears, the HV150 servo offers the durability, precision, and versatility needed to conquer any challenge on the trail!

This is the servo you are looking for…… being no stranger to the Holmes hobby products I was intrigued to see them break into the micro scene with an unstoppable servo. This will run on 5 volts no problem and will beat any other off the shelf servo like that but, I think it would be wasted if you not running it at the full 8.4 volts. At a competitive price with unmatched power in the micro servo range I cannot recommend this enough, although it is slightly longer than your regular micro servo you will have to get nifty and adjust accordingly. Well worth the price, internals are solid and can handle full 2s power with no glitching on top of 174oz of micro moving power those oversized tires and full aluminum upgrades won’t slow you down.

Excellent servo! Strong, quiet, and centers well. Also comes with a metal horn. The only issue as with most micro servos is that the horn is only threaded for the scx24. I bought it for a Rock Van EVO so I had to widen it for m2 screws. But that doesn’t reflect on it excellent quality. I ordered another one for the new Arktos 6x6…so I’ll be widening this one too.

Most Premium Micro servo I have ever used. Just heed the notes, it browns out anything with a small BEC (furitek lizard)and the Servo horn is for smaller than TRX4M Hardware.

This says it is compatible with the Furitek FX118. It is not. There is no screw provided to allow you to connect the steering linkage to the servo arm. Frustrating.

What reviewers say

Reviewers generally rate the Holmes Hobbies HV150 (HV variant) highly, praising its strength, quiet operation, centering, and power for a micro servo, with the metal horn and internals noted as solid. Several reviewers say it runs well on 2S power, though one reports it performs best at full voltage. Recurring issues involve fitment: the included horn is threaded only for SCX24-size hardware, requiring modification for M2 screws, and it is slightly longer than a standard micro servo. One reviewer reports browning out a receiver setup with a small BEC, and another says the product is not compatible with a Furitek FX118 because a steering linkage screw is not supplied.

  • + Strong torque for a micro servo
  • + Quiet operation and good centering
  • + Solid internals, handles 2S power
  • + Includes metal horn
  • − Horn threaded only for SCX24 hardware
  • − Slightly longer than standard micro servos
  • − Can brown out small BEC systems
  • − Missing linkage screw for FX118 compatibility
