Hot Racing 32P Steel Center Diff Spur Gear for Traxxas Slash 4x4 (54T)

IT VERY CLEARLY EXPLAINS THAT THIS STEEL SPUR GEAR FITS THE Traxxas Pre-Built Center Differential Kit (Slash 4x4). It DOES NOT fit the stock setup because it isnt intended for the classic Slash 4x4 slipper clutch, hence the reason the other reviewer said the holes don't match up. Pay attention to the 'Overview,' and 'Compatibility.' It's unfortunate, but a plethora of reviewers have no idea what they're doing when they purchase products like this and leave feedback when it's obviously operator error, I.e., a common theme with RC websites. ALWAYS consort the compatibility section on the product pages and determine what's right for your needs and fitment specs. As for my "proper review" of this steel 54t/48P spur gear, in short, it's awesome! Hot Racing RC products never cease to put a smile on my face, especially considering their long list of Slash 4x4 centered upgrades. First off, this fits Part # TRA6814 (https://www.amainhobbies.com/traxxas-prebuilt-center-differential-kit-slash-4x4-tra6814/p158963). Combine the center diff. w/ the spur gear I and you won't be disappointed. A lot of people may talk shit about running a steel spur gear in your Slash 4x4, (mostly because of the whining screech, lol), but because I don't run a slipper clutch there's no reason NOT to run the steel spur gear. I love it so much that I've installed the steel version on both of my race-ready Slash 4x4s and personally, I love the sound. I race in the stock class with these SCTs and have done copious upgrades to remain competitive, yet smart, for the track. I can tell with all honesty that I've slain the majority of the class racers that have fancier kit setups and I've done so many upgrades that it's difficult to tell it's still a Slash. It's a great product, so I say go for it and see what you think. Gearing is a personal choice for driving style and track/bashing conditions, so you don't have much to lose by playing around with options and dialing your trucks in. Heater!
