This is much better than the stock bellcranks. It makes the steering much more precise, and there is much less play in the steering. The bearings replace the bushings from the stock one, which is awesome, and it makes the steering a bit faster, and more responsive. No instructions came with it (not a big deal to me, but just thought that I should give a heads up). While installing it, the bearing fitment is very snug, so getting it level is important. Having some oil can help lubricate it, so the bearing goes in easier. Also, make sure to press the bearing all the way down. Overall, this is a very good upgrade part (fits both the HCG and LCG chassis). It eliminates all of the problems that the stock has, and is a big improvement over the stock!
Supplied bearings were to small to slide over 2 posts
HUGE upgrade from the stock plastic bits. I was shocked at how much tighter it made my steering.
i had a different set of bellcranks on my slash then ended up getting bent and i have hot racing one in my 4x4. so i ended up getting this one for my 2wd and if this one is anything like the 4x4 one then it should last a lot longer then the other brand that bent the first hard hit it took. i will say this one has already took a harder hit with no signs of bending yet
Great looking and really nice workmanship. I always use sealed bearings to prevent rust on the included metal bearings. The price is great so a couple of bucks for the sealed bearings makes for a nice setup.
Reviewers generally report a strong improvement over the stock plastic steering parts, citing tighter, more precise steering with less play and a more responsive feel. Bearings replace the stock bushings, though one reviewer found the supplied bearings too small to slide over two posts and noted a snug fit that requires getting the part level, lubricating with oil, and pressing the bearing fully down during installation. One reviewer said no instructions were included. Reviewers praise the workmanship and appearance and report durability after hard hits, one comparing it favourably to a bent competing set. One reviewer prefers sealed bearings to avoid rust on the included metal bearings. Reviews relate to the black 2WD variant.
