Used a shock plier to put these in. Took seconds to put them in, don't listen to that other guy. Removed the slop as well
Use these and your suspension will be tighter because the stock plastic pivot balls quickly wear out.
Work great got rid of all the slop in my big rock steering
Look and perform great. They help tighten up some slop in the steering. You will need to sand down the top and bottom to get them to fit an Arrma Granite. You don’t have to sand much, very worth the purchase even after having to modify them slightly.
So I bought these as I figured the plastic pivot balls would not last to long which I was right when I went to widen my Granite. Some of the plastic balls just fell out of their link. Don't get me wrong these remove a lot of the slop and should last a long time. The downside and why it's 3 stars instead of 5 is the size. They are actually larger (wider) than the stock ones which make it a nightmare to install especially on the chasis side. I probably spent 2 hours total time getting them installed on my Granite. Probably worth it but are a real pain to get in there.
Reviewers generally report that these aluminum pivot balls reduce slop in steering and suspension compared with stock plastic pivot balls, which some note wear out quickly. Several owners say a fit adjustment is needed: some sanding of the top and bottom was required on Arrma Granite and Outcast 4s builds, and one reviewer found the balls wider than stock, making installation on the chassis side difficult and time-consuming. Installation effort ranged from a few seconds with shock pliers to around two hours. One reviewer reported that a steering drift problem on an Outcast 4s was resolved by replacing the receiver, not the pivot balls, so that attribution is uncertain. Opinions on value are mostly positive despite the fitting effort.
