I love this battery tray. It helps strengthen the chassis and holds my batteries perfect. Make sure to get the correct radio box. You need this radio box part # ARA320422. If you purchase that radio box installation is plug and play no modifications needed. I wish it would mention that. The other reviewer obviously used the wrong one. If you have an arrma exb or v5 get this, you won't be disappointed. I would get the hellios Rc battery straps to make installing the battery easy. This strap, Part # HEL-AC-00265 Thanks Amain Hobbies Love you guys!
I loved the fit it was perfect on my Typhon 6S. However about a few weeks after the screws stiped of as well as broke every velcro strap. Is there any stronger velcro ties that I can buy. I'll just get all of the screws in titanium.
This claims to fit the Arrma Talion. However the screw holes do not align with the chassis. Returning product. Also, an owner mentioned buying this battery strap (Part # HEL-AC-00265). This is shorter than the ones that come with the mount and do not work.
Besides being overly pricey, this tray does not fit the notorious as stated. I had to modify the radio box and drill holes into the chassis to get it to fit. It was a very frustrating experience. The long Velcro strip is way too short to fit any battery, let alone two stacked up.
Reviewers disagree sharply on fit. One verified owner on an Arrma EXB or V5 reports a good fit that strengthens the chassis and holds batteries well, but says a specific radio box part (ARA320422) is needed for plug-and-play installation. Other reviewers report the tray did not fit as advertised, requiring radio box modification and drilled chassis holes, and one found screw holes that did not align on an Arrma Talion, leading to a return. Reviewers also say the included Velcro straps are too short for stacked batteries and that they broke, and one reports stripped screws after a few weeks. Price is criticised as high. One review mentions a replacement strap that is too short.
- + Good fit on Arrma EXB or V5 per one owner
- + Strengthens the chassis
- + Holds batteries securely
- − Fit issues requiring radio box modification or drilled holes
- − Included Velcro straps too short and break
- − Stripped screws after a few weeks
- − Priced high
