So far so good. 4 stars since the price tag is a little high and also haven't fully tested these yet only ran two packs. As far as I can tell it could be 5 stars but I have to make sure the aluminum threading doesn't strip out over time or burn out my servo in case there isn't enough "saver" in the servo saver. but it seems like it should be 5 stars other than the price I do not know what the other hurly review is talking about, he must be a beginner since trim has nothing to do with a servo saver. He doesn't know to turn the vehicle and remote on first and center your steering trim on remote before putting the new servo saver on
Fits on stock grom servo but needs a lot of trim to get centered. Ok but not great
The included aluminum connecting rod is 15mm eye to eye. Stock Quake Grom rod is about 32. Unfortunately, I opened the bag before I realized, so item is not returnable. Lesson learned, disassemble before opening the parts. I know the Quake is not on the A-Main provided “compatible” list. I incorrectly assumed it was just because the Quake is newer and the list hadn’t yet been revised. When I got the Quake Grom, I quickly realized the stock servo saver was not up to the task. Weak even when cranked down, tons of slop, and would never return to center accurately. Honestly it ruined the driving experience. I went ahead and installed the Hot Racing horn assembly with the stock rod since I was already committed after opening the package. Immediately I can tell there is a massive improvement over the stock setup. No slop in the new saver and it returns to center accurately. If I could go back I’d look for one that was made for the Quake, but I think this will do just fine even with the stock plastic connecting rod.
