I've been running these front and rear on my Kraton for the last 6 months. In my opinion these are a must if you don't want to be wrenching on ur truck after every bash session.
I've been using 4 of these on two Mojave EXB trucks, after cracking a plastic one, which allowed movement between the ring and input gear and damaged the gears. It was about 45-50 degrees outside when the plastic one cracked after a landing from a pretty long jump, so I figured I'd get the aluminum ones to prevent this from happening again. And these HR bulkheads fit well, though they still need to be shimmed like the plastic ones, and I haven't had any problems with them so far.
The spiral gear seem out of alignment to the main gear too me. Because, when the gears weren't grinding, they were slightly binding in one spot on the gear. And these are suppose to save my gears. lol. I'll take my chances with the stock, they go together like they were made too. lol. Kraton 6s BLX
Three reviews of this aluminum gearbox case bulkhead for Arrma Kraton/Outcast trucks are mixed. One owner reports six months of use front and rear with no wrenching needed after bash sessions. A verified owner running four units on two Mojave EXB trucks says they replaced a cracked plastic bulkhead, fit well, still require shimming like the plastic parts, and have caused no problems so far. A verified 1/5 reviewer on a Kraton 6S BLX reports slight binding and apparent spiral gear misalignment, and prefers stock parts. Fitment and durability feedback is limited to three reviews, and one review concerns a different Arrma model.
- + Durable compared with plastic bulkheads
- + Fits well
- + Reported trouble-free use over months
- + Replaces cracked plastic parts
- − Requires shimming like stock parts
- − One report of gear binding or misalignment
- − Limited feedback from few reviews
- − One review is from a Mojave EXB, not a Kraton
