Ivan Pon Hot Racing Axial SCX24 32mm Internal Spring Air Shocks (Black)

Picks up at my LHS…great upgrade over stock…torque twist from barrage motor eliminated, Jeep leaned to the motor side at rest, also been eliminated. Ride isn’t so bouncy, suspension sag is gone. Silver springs are what you want as the previous review stated…Unless you have a really heavy rig. One shock was binding a bit but that’s only because I installed it incorrectly, make sure the larger flange is pointing towards you. A little green slime and correct installation fixed the issue, highly recommended

These mounted up easy on my C10, the lighter weight springs are the way to go. Good fit and finish. Look great.

I don't hate these. They do what they are supposed to do adequately... but for the price, I wish they did it better. They are prettier, heavier stock shocks, if you are into that sort of thing. I like mine, but I don't think they are a good value at their price.

What reviewers say

Reviewers generally find these shocks an improvement over stock, with one reporting that they reduced the Jeep's leaning and torque twist and removed suspension sag and bounciness. Two reviewers say they fit easily and look good. Opinion on value is mixed: one rates them as adequate but not good value for the price and describes them as prettier, heavier stock-style shocks. Reviewers recommend the lighter silver springs, especially for lighter rigs; one notes that heavier rigs may want them too. One reviewer had a binding shock caused by incorrect installation, resolved by orienting the larger flange correctly and applying a little grease. Reviews reference a C10 and a Jeep, which suggests the listed black variant is used on different bodies.

  • + Improves on stock ride and reduces sag
  • + Eliminates torque twist and lean at rest, per one reviewer
  • + Easy mounting and good fit
  • + Good looks and finish
  • − Questionable value for the price
  • − Heavier than the stock-style alternatives
  • − Binding if installed with the flange reversed
