These are a great for that little bit of extra unsprung weight right over the tires contact patches, for those who are running the standard SCX24 wheels or other wheels with a standard hex-shaped lugs. Highly recommend it, especially if you are still on the ultra-lightweight plastic SCX24 wheels that the truck comes with as standard, as that little bit of extra weight goes a very long way. BE WARNED: The RC4WD Stamped Steel 1.0" Beadlock wheels do not have standard hex-shaped lugs and these brass wheel hex hubs will not work with them!
good little first upgrade would reccomed something heavier though
way late on this. great added weight in the hexes if you need some down low
Horrible. Bought them for my SCx24 C-10 and they do not fit over the axle. These parts do NOT FIT all SCx24s. Really need a compatibility guide for parts.
I bought these for my C10 crawler and they fit very nicely. These wheel hubs feel much heavier than the virtually weightless stock hubs and compliment my brass-weighted wheels well. I can't say they provided a significant performance change but at the 1/24th scale, every little bit helps.
Reviewers generally describe these brass 7mm hex hubs as a simple added-weight upgrade for the SCX24, used to lower centre of gravity and help tyres hook up, especially on lightweight stock wheels. Several note a noticeable difference, while one says the change is hard to quantify. One reviewer weighed them at roughly 0.9 to 0.94 grams each versus 0.19 grams for the stock plastic hubs. Fit is the main point of disagreement: most report a good fit on SCX24 variants including the C10 and Enduro24 Sendero, but one reports they would not fit over the axle on a C10, and another reports the wheels ran off-axis and wobbly on a Deadbolt. One reviewer warns they do not suit RC4WD stamped steel beadlock wheels, which lack standard hex lugs. Some reviewers suggest heavier options exist.
