I got these for my SCX24 JLU and geez, these things are HEFTY! They really give it the little rig some weight. Keeps the front planted. Direct fitment without any issues. Now, with the added weight, you may consider replacing the stock servo with the ES08M which so far, seems to be about the only viable replacement without severe modifications.

The threaded holes aren't threaded correctly and it caused the screws to bind which snapped them off inside the hub. It's too small to extract so now the hub is useless and I need a new steering link.

I have purchased 2 sets of these for 2 different JLU’s -they install easily, add a noticeable difference in hill climbing and holding the front end down. Worth every penny. They do add about 2mm to the overall track width of the front end, not really even noticeable looking at it, but it measures 2mm wider, which probably helps in stability also. I also recommend their brass diff. cover for a lttle more weight up front.

These add a bit of down low weight, they look fantastic and are even labeled as Left and Right. My son has 4 wheel steering so we added these to both axles and you can really tell the difference when you're looking for that extra bit of traction. Upgrade your servo to an Emax and make sure you buy the mount from Hot Racing. You will thank me later!

Love these. Adds needed much weight up front to lower CoG, but doesnt add it to a rotating part like the wheels which I feel keeps less stress on the motor. You will probably need to upgrade the Servo as well, but its worth it.

What reviewers say

Reviewers largely agree these brass front steering knuckles add noticeable weight to the front of the SCX24, improving planted feel and hill climbing, and they fit directly with no issues. Several note they look good and are labelled left and right. Reviewers also mention they widen the front track by about 2mm. One recurring concern is that the added weight may call for an upgraded servo. A single one-star review reports threaded holes that were not cut correctly, causing screws to bind and snap inside the hub, leaving the hub unusable. The review does not indicate whether this was an isolated defect.

  • + Adds noticeable front weight
  • + Improves front-end planting and traction
  • + Direct fitment, easy installation
  • + Looks good, labelled left and right
  • − Threaded holes reported as misaligned, causing screws to snap
  • − May require a servo upgrade
  • − Widens front track by about 2mm
