Have 4 installed all around. Nice tight press fit into Machete wheels. Make sure and get them fully pressed in and flush. Not sure about the review stating they will burn out the stock electronics. I have had no issues and have much more weight on the truck besides just these. Recommend! Great cheap first upgrade to really help with it staying planted.
These are crucial for the SCX24's added some weight exactly where it needs it. Get at least two for your fronts, but while your at it get two more for your back. Your truck will thank you for it.
I got these for my SCX24 JLU and these things just slide right in the stock KMC Machete wheels. They really give it the little rig some weight all around and seems to keep the wheels planted. Direct fitment without any issues. These still allow the wheel holes to breath so you don't have to redrill holes in the weights. Now, with the added weight, you may consider replacing the stock servo. Also, while I'm not a big fan of adding rotational mass, these feel fine and don't feel like it's stressing the stock motor any more than putting weights on the chassis.
Changing my one star review to three simply because I now have to replace my esc/rx unit. Do they add weight? Yes. Weak electronics are not their fault. Unfortunately, the axial esc/rx combo popped because it can't handle the added weight/power demands. Can't recommend unless you're able to upgrade your electronics.
Reviewers generally report that these brass wheel weights fit the stock KMC Machete wheels with a snug press fit and add weight that helps the SCX24 stay planted. One reviewer notes that the wheel holes still breathe, so no redrilling was needed. Opinions diverge on electronics: most users reported no issues, while one verified owner said the stock ESC/receiver failed after installation and recommended upgrading electronics first. Reviewers also suggest a servo upgrade or adding weight to the rear. Overall sentiment is positive, with one clear caution about stock electronics.
