DeShaun Dashon Hot Racing Losi Mini T 2.0/Mini-B Aluminum Savox Servo Saver (21T)

This servo saver is nice but it does bind the servo a little if you tighten the screw completely tight. The fix is to add thread lock to the screw and a small spacer into the splines area of the horn to create space so the servo saver does not rub against the servo. Also use thread lock on servo saver nut threads as mine came lose after alot of running.

Great fit and finish! I did not tighten mine all the way since it seemed to bind the servo a bit, but with a little locktite it is rock solid and miles ahead of the stock saver.

This item is horrible, first off it did NOT fit correctly had to be almost forced on. Secondly it slips side to side preventing the servo from re-centering correctly. Finally, the provided screw to attach it to the servo is way too long, to the point that if you tighten it even a little bit, it stalls the servo. Waste of money and this item is junk.

What reviewers say

Reviewers agree the aluminum servo saver is a clear upgrade over the stock part in terms of fit and finish, though two of three reviewers needed workarounds. Two reviewers report that fully tightening the screw binds the servo, and both used thread lock on the screw and nut, one also adding a spacer in the horn splines. One reviewer, a verified owner, rated it 1/5 citing a forced fit, side-to-side slop that prevents proper servo re-centring, and an overlong screw that stalls the servo. The reviews point to recurring issues with the included screw length and clearance, and the sample is small.

  • + Good fit and finish
  • + Solid once thread locked
  • + Improvement over stock saver
  • − Binds servo when screw fully tightened
  • − Nut can loosen without thread lock
  • − Side-to-side play affects re-centring
  • − Included screw too long, stalls servo
