Saw the only review on these shocks is a bad one so I felt the need to write this. I have these shocks currently on one of two La Traxxas Prerunners I own(one stock, one not). These are not slap on and run shocks. They have to be filled with shock oil before installing on the car. They are extremely easy to adjustable with Aluminum Threaded spacers, easy to refill with simple bladder system (no separate blader) and easy to get off and on for maintenance and changing the shock oil viscosity. Ease also contributed to hex drive ball studs on both ends instead of Ball Cups and Studs (no pulling or prying.)
I use these shocks on a 1/16th 2wd buggy my small hobby business is making. They are awesome shocks. We run the Latrax GTR springs on them. The shocks are very smooth and have a good feel on the track. Honestly the quality far surpassed my expectations!
not great
Reviewers report that these threaded aluminum shocks for the Traxxas 1/16 are not plug-and-play and must be filled with shock oil before installation. One reviewer praises the adjustability from aluminum threaded spacers, the bladder-style refill system, and the hex-drive ball studs that make removal and oil changes easier. A verified owner using them on a 1/16 2WD buggy with Latrax GTR springs describes them as smooth on track and better than expected. A third reviewer gave a 2/5 rating with a brief comment and no details. Overall feedback is positive but comes from only three reviews, and one of them offers little explanation.
