This is a great basher and lots of fun. The only gripe is tha the tie rods just pop out too easy. I lost one in my first run and had to wait for several days until I got my spare delivered. This was mentioned in multiple review videos on Youtube. I have not stripped the spur gear yet (as mentioned in multiple reviews) and hope it won't happen for a while. The first thing I did after I unboxed it was to tighten the motor mount screws and the pinion gear screw.
As my first HPI Racing car and monster truck, it blew away all my expectations. This thing is almost as fast as my 1/8 buggy on 2s, but can easily do wheelies and flips. It's surprisingly stable at speed, and the stock electronics are better than expected. Definitely get the wheelie bar for it, as you'll constantly scrape the diff case and body.
Very impressive fast isn't enough to say it's a monster for sure. Has great control for the rocket acceleration. Only thing is charging time is boring.
Reviewers generally rate the HPI Jumpshot MT FLUX V2 (2WD brushless monster truck, RTR) highly for speed, acceleration, stability and fun as a basher, with one reviewer calling it almost as fast as a 1/8 buggy on 2S. A recurring complaint is that the tie rods pop out easily, with one owner losing a rod on the first run. One reviewer noted that the spur gear may strip, though they had not experienced it yet, and recommended tightening the motor mount and pinion screws. Reviewers also suggest a wheelie bar, since the diff case and body scrape frequently. Battery charging time was described as slow. All three reviews are from verified owners of this variant.
