The HPI Savage XL 5.9 GTXL-6 is powered by the Nitro Star F5.9 engine, delivering enormous torque and top-end speed for extreme off-road performance. With a 3-shoe aluminum clutch, vented clutch bell, and Rotostart 3 system, it transfers power efficiently while offering easy starting and long-lasting durability.
Ultra-Tough Chassis Design
Built on a 3.0mm thick Twin Vertical Plate (TVP) chassis with reinforced motor plates, the Savage XL 5.9 handles massive jumps, rough landings, and full-speed crashes. Captured hinge pins, rugged bumpers, and roll hoop protect critical components while maintaining stability across challenging terrain.
Advanced Suspension System
Equipped with oil-filled XL Big Bore shocks, independent double wishbone suspension, and heavy-duty HD servo saver, this truck offers smooth damping, precise steering, and control for high-speed bashing. Super-thick webbed suspension arms absorb impacts and keep the truck stable on any surface

I mean.. it’s a brand new Savage XL! What more could you want? I will say the servos in this truck are insane. Both the steering and throttle servos have plenty of speed and power. The built in pre programmed failsafe is also an added plus. This truck is a beast.. you won’t regret it!
Garbage product! Don’t buy HPI products!! Tons of issues and poor quality control and poor assembly by HPI. No support from HPI or Amain. Out of the box the servo was dead, off/on switch didn’t work, I completed the break in and tuning, truck won’t shift! I reached out to HPI Racing via email, they told me that I’d have to go thru the Distributor to get support because they offer no support, (additionally I found out that they’re headquartered in Denmark?! ) it says it on their webpage, there was no where I could send the truck to? Screw HPI! Just back and forth and a lot of run around between Amain and HPI. Now I just have a $750 paperweight. I feel like I just got scammed out of $755.00
