HPI Savage XS Flux GT2-XS 1/10 4WD RTR Brushless Monster Truck
About this part
HPI Savage XS Flux 1/10 Ready to Run Brushless Monster Truck
The HPI Savage XS Flux GT2-XS 1/10 4WD RTR Brushless Monster Truck is designed to get out and bash! Built using the tough Twin Vertical Plate (TVP) design. Two 5mm plates with differential cases at either end provide extreme stiffness, reducing torque twist and increased power delivery. The battery compartment is low within the chassis for lower CG and better balance. The onboard ESC is 3S ready and the Flux brushless motor is designed to deliver maximum torque. The racing-inspired pin tread tires are mounted on green 2.2 tires for incredible off-road handling and ultimate style.

Exceeded my expectations. The truck is really durable and extremely fast for what it is. Highly recommend!
Sounded terrible out of the box. Transmission exploded after about 4 runs. No luck on replacement, parts are hard to locate. Very disappointing.
Driveshafts keep popping out, and the drive cups get worn easily. Fun to drive when functional.
I gave it 5 starts because I couldn’t give it 10. This is the most fun you can have with a small RC truck. It’s like a squirrel on crack. It is stupid fast on 3s, handles good, and can take an absolute caning. Just buy it, thank me later.
Best small monster truck out there! I own two!! HPI is still one of the best RC makers out there!
Reviewers largely praise the HPI Savage XS Flux GT2-XS for speed, fun factor, jump handling and durability, with several calling it one of the best small monster trucks. Two reviewers report that it runs buttery smooth after minor tweaks. Recurring complaints from lower-rated reviews include driveshafts popping out, drive cups wearing quickly, and a transmission failing after about four runs. One buyer also reported loud noise out of the box and difficulty obtaining replacement parts. Reviews appear to be for this variant, and there are no notes about other versions. The sample is small, so the mix of praise and reported drivetrain failures may not represent all owners.
