These shocks are the best for the Venture 18. the entire shock is metal. However, I placed 4 stars because the springs it comes with are too soft for the load of the truck. Best thing to do is use the old stock springs. It is very easy to "unscrew" the spring from the bottom of the shock. Other than that, totally worth it.
These are the best shocks for your venture18, don't mess around with other brands (except FEDC which A-main does not carry) that offer some sort of adjustments that are completely not needed for tiny trucks. These HPI shocks are well built, good seals and you can get rebuild kits for them so you can adjust oil weigh (no big changes, maybe 22.5wt tops). Anyways they a good, require a bit of flash removal but that it. Buy with confidence. I have them on one of my HPI U4 Broncos and love them, the set of shocks on the other shock are yet to be determined how that function.
