About the Venture18 CC Flux
Powerful Brushless Performance
The Venture18 CC Flux is powered by a 3500kV brushless outrunner motor paired with a water-resistant Flux ESC. This high-spec setup delivers a smooth power curve with strong torque, ideal for climbing and maneuvering over rough obstacles. The ESC's drag brake adjustment feature allows users to fine-tune braking behavior directly from the included transmitter, providing precise downhill control. Paired with a Plazma 3S 360mAh LiPo battery, this system offers efficient power delivery for extended crawling sessions.
Precision Engineering & Durability
This model is engineered for performance and reliability with a 4WD shaft-driven drivetrain supported by an aluminum plate competition chassis. Both front and rear differentials feature metal spool overdrive gears, enhancing traction and steering response when navigating uneven ground. The full metal gear half-dig transmission allows the rear drive to be disengaged for tighter turns, while the counter-rotating center drivetrain helps maintain balance and stability. Together, these elements create a durable, competition-ready platform that performs consistently across demanding conditions.
Advanced Suspension & Realistic Design
The Venture18 CC Flux is equipped with oil-filled adjustable coilover shocks featuring threaded bottom caps for tuning ride height and damping. Its Tredz Rover tires, made from an ultra-soft compound, provide excellent grip and traction across rock, dirt, and uneven surfaces. Mounted on 1.3-inch CC-6 three-piece beadlock wheels, the tires maintain their hold securely during operation. The RidgeLine half cage low-profile body combines performance and realism, complemented by detailed plastic body components and two included livery designs so users can customize their crawler's appearance to match their style.

Very well built and has stock features other companies don’t have.
Wow this rig is a blast and so good at crawling. Does have some torque twist but overall it is manageable. Couldn't be happier with the performance and look of the rig. I'd highly recommend this to anyone wanting to have some serious crawling fun right out of the box.
This thing is my best crawler even compared with my Redcat Ascent 18. A beast
Fantastic Crawler! I have wanted a 'competition' style truck for awhile, but I don't like the way most of them look. I am big Redcat fan and have several Ascent 18s which I like a lot, but I just don't care for the way the Apex looks (same thing with Juice Up). When this came out, I liked the matt green, military like, and thought the truck looked mean. I watched the Youtubers, and saw the torque twist, but decided to get it anyways, figuring there must be some way to minimize the twist. Well after running one battery pack through the truck and trying multiple shock positions, two things were apparent. Number one, I like the truck a lot! It looks very cool on the rocks, and is very capable, more capable than any of my other modified rigs. Two, to minimize torque twist and the front left tire lifting, I run, I guess what is called a full droop set up. I moved the back shocks to the lowest and most forward position, and cranked the shock collars all the way up, yes up to the top of the shock. The front shocks I moved back to the highest position and left the collars all the way up. The truck chassis rests on the axles, the shocks are compressed quite a bit, but extend for great flex. I might trim the front body, it rests on the servo, I'll see. Mind you, there is still torque twist, but it is minimized and going up hill now doesn't automatically lift the front left tire. I have some brass for the front axle coming and aluminum steering links. I don't think the truck really needs any mods, but according the Tubers, the weight distribution is 55/45 and so I want to get that closer to 60/40 and then the front left tire will probably stay planted. My two complaints are the torque twist (minimized now) and that the truck is really jumpy, you need a light throttle finger. A lot of people will balk at the price, but I just dropped $280 for a ground up TRX4M build from Injora parts, where that didn't include the cost of the body, transmitter, ESC, wheels, or tires. So the entire cost of that will be north of $400. In light of that, the price for the Venture 18 CC is not bad and I am sure the Venture will still outperform the custom TRX4M. Edit: Bought a bearing kit and installed the bearings in the rear axle (will install the other bearings later) and following the advice from someone in Youtube comments, I added rubber bands to the back shocks. Torque twist is not a factor now, you can still see a tiny bit, but less than most other trucks. Adding the bearings allowed my Venture 18 CC to make it up a couple of climbs that I could not make it up before. All in all and outstanding crawler with a little bit of tinkering.
All four reviewers are verified owners of the green HPI Venture18 CC Flux RTR crawler and rate it 5/5. Reviewers praise its build quality, crawling performance, and stock features, with one noting it outperforms their Redcat Ascent 18. The matte green look is also well received. The one recurring criticism is torque twist, which one reviewer says is manageable and another says can be reduced by adjusting shock positions. Review count is small, so the picture is limited.
