I bought these just to increase the overall strength of my truck. They do not come with any information so I suspected it was a straight swap in the truck's axle. These require shimming to set the gear mesh!! It comes with 2 carrier shims, use them on the crown side of the carrier to move the ring gear to the pinion. I gave it 4 stars because it does not come with any information about this. A newer person not fully understanding may not realize this needs to be done.
