Looks good. Goes fast. That's about it. It's super tippy. It rolls over with the slightest turn if your going more than 1/10 the speed it can do. It can't climb. So, this is just an expensive toy. Okay, it is what it is.
Awsome little truck, love the 2 speed tranny! Goes preset fast for its in “2nd gear”…. Very well made and assembled, needs next to nothing to have fun right out of the box. I ordered a set of HPI steel drive shafts for it and I am confused as to why HPI didn’t use a D shaped hole in them to match the out put shafts???? A+ overall a good value and very pretty to look at! Additional: I replaced the stock light bar with an Axial UTB18 light bar to negate all the “extra” wires from the HPI LED kit. It works great and looks just as good with only 1 wire to run to the light controller. My VGJR truck is using the stock light bar with LED’s from Amazon but the Axial light bar looks so much better and all the wires are hidden. These little trucks are fantastic, I just wish there was a longer running battery option!!!
I’m going to start with saying A-main Hobbies is really a great place to buy RC stuff. Great website, fast shipping, and fantastic customer support. The HPI Venture 18 looks totally cool, is a nice size, and the 2nd gear makes it so fast and fun. None of my other small RC’s have selectable gears. This feature makes it stand out from the others and then the brushless motor puts it to the level they all should be. Out of the box ahead of the competition. HPI serving it up with the Venture18 brushless!!!
Bronco runs great out of box. Perfect for trail and crawling with the 2 speed. Body looks amazing, they did a great job with decals and paint. Could use wider tires and weight wheels like most crawlers but easy upgrade.
