I disagree... Hudy tools are good but not the best around. I have a set of drivers and I can't remember how many times I've rounded the tips off....I was a sucker at first and kept buying replacement tips for them because I thought NO TOOL came close to Hudy quality. I may actually sell them off because I don't even remember the last time I reached into my bag to use one! The knurled handles aren't so great either, as a matter of fact I think they suck. They start hurting the palms of your hands after awhile. Not good when building a kit. If you want a good set of tools, look at the Thunder Tiger drivers or the Mugen drivers. Great tools and not as pricey. I have yet to round off any of the Mugen or Thunder Tiger tips. I was extremely skeptical about the Thunder Tiger drivers at first because of the name, but all that went out the door after I used them for a month. IMO, the only tool Hudy makes that is absolute best......the slotted screwdriver for Novarossi engine bolts.
yes hudy tools are the best r/c tools out you get what you pay for in this hobby
Hudy is hands down the best in quality and it shows with the set. Pieces are solid and have a great fit. A must for serious racers. I just wish mine came with a tool cady or something like that instead of just a box.
They are pretty nice, but a little overpriced IMO. Additionally, I still need to use my $25 Traxxas Toolkit to do a few things that require a longer tool.
Great starter set, let’s face it Hudy costs a premium but the quality and feel is quite special!! Will keep adding to my collection and it will be all Hudy from AMain ;)
Reviewers broadly praise the Hudy 9-Piece Metric Basic Tool Set for solid build quality, good fit, and a premium feel, with several calling it the best RC tool they have used. Criticism centres on price, with reviewers describing it as overpriced or a premium purchase, and on the knurled handles, which one reviewer found painful on the palms during extended use. One reviewer reported repeatedly rounding off driver tips and later switching to other brands, while another said they had no issues. A reviewer also noted that the set lacks a tool caddy and that a longer tool was still needed for some tasks. Reviews are mixed on value, but generally positive on quality.
