I purchased this product for the genuine shock of axial scx10 iii because the oil leakage is severe. There is little oil leakage from this shock. However, the price and quality are not in proportion, because the shock shaft is not polished sufficiently and the spring rubs against the shock case.
Overall a really nice set of shocks. The fit and finish are great and they have yet to leak after 7 months of use.
Yikes! I service moto suspension for a living so it's not an issue of servicing these units. About the only time, they stop leaking is when they are out of fluid. However, just about all scale, RC coilovers leak these days...
Kinda meh, doesn’t seem to matter how surgical, a couple runs and we’ve got weeping. Talking on a VS4-10 Pro with maybe 5 hours on it, front left so bad it looks scale, leaving a little mark on the table where the VS4-10 had been parked.
Reviewers report mixed experiences with the Incision 90mm Scale Shock Set. Several describe oil leakage after limited use, including one owner on a VS4-10 Pro with about five hours of running and another who says leakage is hard to avoid even with careful servicing. One verified owner on an Axial SCX10 III reports little leakage but criticises the finish, noting an insufficiently polished shock shaft and a spring rubbing against the shock body. A verified owner who has used the set for seven months praises the fit and finish and reports no leaks. Overall, the reviews are split on leak resistance, with fit and finish praised by some and criticised by others.
