These locking nuts are awesome! They spin on fast and require just a tiny bit of torque to tighten and have never loosened up. Before converting to these nuts I previously used the nylon locking nuts and they were ok but they would wear out quickly (loosen up while racing). I would definitely recommend the JConcepts.
They look nice when new but by the end of a race night, not so much. Two out of the four nuts fit my old 11/32 driver very tight. None of them fit my brand new Protek driver. Anodizing out of spec I would guess.
Reviewers generally find these aluminum locking wheel nuts attractive and effective at holding. Two reviewers were highly positive, citing good looks, easy tightening, fast spinning, and no loosening during racing, with one comparing them favourably to nylon locking nuts that loosened over time. A third reviewer rated them lower, reporting that the finish looked worn by the end of a race night and that the nuts fit some drivers poorly: two of four fit an older 11/32 driver tightly and none fit a newer Protek driver, which the reviewer attributed to anodizing out of spec.
