About this part

Body Overview:

JConcepts F2 1/10 Short Course Truck Low-Profile Body. Elevate your Short Course Truck performance to the next level with this optional F2 1/10 Short Course Truck body! The concept is simple, lower the roof line, improve the functionality of air-release louvers, and incorporate the latest number and name plate performance geometry, while providing an edginess to the design! JConcepts incorporated the low-profile and V-style cab into the design and sunk additional louvers into the roof. To increase rigidity, the team added a slight stabilization fin in the center and a railed edge on each side of the cab, as the cab falls away and into the bed area with a hard chamfer leads into a series of stepped sections allowing more air escape areas. In addition, four more deep rooted louvers are placed between the body mounting area that can be tuned to fit racers' driving preferences!

The F2 body design starts at the front end with high-impact looks of a large format canvas in the grille and headlight area. The included decal sheet can be used to stealth out the entire front end with blank decals or go for two of the different and highly detailed looks of the light and signal appearance found on passenger vehicles. In the hood area, there is a large cut-in feature with trim lines, allowing you to add additional air escape holes and maximize airflow. The fenders are hard-edged and blend straight into the F2 aggressive design while providing plenty of clearance for racing or bashing tires! All while effectively lowering the CG (Center of Gravity) to provide supreme stability, increased speeds and better cornering handling to give racers the ability to push the limit even harder than before!

I really liked the body. It's sleek and more interesting than a lot of other SCT bodies. I painted the best body I'd ever painted, and I was very excited to put it on my new SCT410 2.0 (which it fit great!). But a few times around the track, nothing insane, and the thing is cracked and broken all over. I don't know if it's the right angles, but it's been way less durable than the other illuzion bodies I have. Also, and I don't know if I can attribute this to the body, the paint started flaking off. It's never happen to the other dozen or so bodies I've painted, but between the breaks and the paint, the best body I've ever painted was just about done for.

I really don't like this body. The picture looked cool and it was on sale which is why I bought it, that being said... It's called "low profile" - now I'm relatively new to SCTs (racing them, at least) but this body is enormous. I figured "low profile" meant it sat lower and protruded upwards less, which is not the case. It looks like a BOAT compared to the other bodies out there. The rear bits protrude quite a bit which doesn't look bad per-se but as SCTs tend to bounce around a lot, the rear parts will break constantly. I shoe-goo'd it to oblivion which has holding it together, but I'm ready for a new body just because of how huge this thing feels. It makes the car feel like it's out of control with this heavy shell sitting on top of it. I'm giving it 3 stars because it seems to be durable in all other areas besides the rear (haven't needed much shoe-goo up front), but because it simply isn't low profile at all, and in fact is better suited for a boat than a race vehicle.

This body is thick and seemed like it was going to be very tough. After one outdoor race and a couple of tumbles. Nothing crazy I won every race. It has several cracks and it pretty much going to be covered in shoe goo and cloth to get another race out of it. My last body made it through the whole season. I love the look but it was a poor investment.

Good looking body. Very durable. It’s on my dad’s slash and has been thoroughly abused. The car has been raced, launched into the air, sent into brick walls so hard the body was crumpled (it was fine after being pushed back), and all the works. But it’s still holding strong. It’s got some little cracks forming at the quarter panels, but nothing major. Especially for how it’s been treated.

What reviewers say

Reviewers agree the body looks good and is distinctive, but durability is the main point of disagreement. Two reviewers reported cracking and breakage after limited use, with one noting paint flaking and another saying it was unusually large for a low-profile body and cracked at the rear. Another reviewer said it handled heavy abuse on a Slash with only minor quarter-panel cracks. Fit on an SCT410 2.0 was described as good. Reviewers did not describe the body as tough overall, and the reviews only cover the clear version.

  • + Good looking, distinctive design
  • + Fits SCT410 2.0
  • + Durable in one heavy-use report
  • − Cracks and breaks after limited use
  • − Paint flaking reported
  • − Large, not low profile
  • − Rear sections break easily
