About this part

Tire Overview:

The Megalithic introduces a revolutionary lug layout, featuring intricate terracing and recesses that adapt effortlessly to a wide range of terrains. At its core, the oversized "bat lug" center section excels in both forward and reverse traction, and its performance can be evaluated vertically or with a forward stepping motion. Adjacent to the center, the "club lugs" with recessed areas delineate the outer edges of the tread. A cohesive "sharks' mouth" design unifies the central structure, while the Megalithic pyramid seamlessly integrates, providing ample surface area from various angles.

The sidewalls of these tires feature strategic traction bar placement, with carefully removed sections to enhance pitch and flex-grip properties. Intricate "pencil push" patterns adorn the sidewalls, showcasing meticulously carved and shaved sections in each rotation. A "liquid rope" design provides a clear separation between the sidewall tread and tire lettering. The JConcepts logo is recessed with inner hatching, while the 20th Anniversary logo makes a bold statement. The tire name is presented in a prehistoric-style font, accompanied by the part number 4060 for easy identification.

Holy Crap. Just installed these on my Phoenix Falken Edition. I thought the stock Vanquish Falken tires were decent, but it is a whole new truck now. Lines that weren't even close to possible before it walks right up now.

I'm a huge fan of the Gmade 1904 tires and run them on most of my rigs. I've tried various Pitbull tires, Proline MT Baja Pro X tires, Power Hobby Pin tires, RC4WD Baja Pro X tires, as well as many knock off tires. These Megalithic tires have more forward drive than any tire I've owned or seen in action. Even on the wet and dirty rocks, these tires were phenomenal in every aspect. I used YZZR super soft inserts, which make a fantastic combination. I've just switched to squid inserts and they seem to be awesome as well. The stock foams are quite good but suffer on the side loading. All of my serious crawlers will sport these Megalithic tires.

Really good tires. I have two sets and they both perform super well. I can't definitively say that they are the best crawler tires but they definitely have a case.

What a huge difference good inserts and amazing tires do for the performance of our tiny trucks. They look great and outperform several of the other top brands I have used. They are winning comps at my local club in the Smokies.

What reviewers say

All five reviews are five-star and from verified owners, praising the Megalithic 1.9" crawler tires for grip and climbing performance on rocks. Reviewers describe strong forward drive, improved line choice on Vanquish and Phoenix-type trucks, and good results with aftermarket inserts such as YZZR and Squid. One reviewer notes that the tires are less suited to mud and wet eastern rock, and another says the stock foams suffer under side loading. Reviewers agree the tires perform well overall, though one stops short of calling them the best crawler tire available. The sample is small at five reviews.

  • + Strong grip and forward drive on rocks
  • + Improves climbing lines and performance
  • + Performs well with aftermarket inserts
  • + Good size for Vanquish-style builds
  • − Less suited to mud and wet rocks
  • − Stock foams weak under side loading
