JConcepts Paddle Pin 2.2" Rear Buggy Tires (2) (Green)
About this part
Tire Overview:
The Paddle Pin 2.2" Rear Buggy Tires by JConcepts are a throwback to vintage racing design with a modern performance twist. Inspired by early 2000’s concepts, these tires deliver extreme forward bite and stability on loose dirt, loamy tracks, and sandy surfaces. Built with a durable carcass, robust step-pin tread, and inner webbing for added strength, the Paddle Pins are designed for both 2WD and 4WD buggies running standard 2.2” rear wheels. Perfect for vintage racers or modern competitors, they provide a balance of durability, cornering control, and raw traction.
About the Tires
High-Traction Paddle Pin Performance
The Paddle Pin tires feature a unique stepped tread design with large-format inner pins for grip, smaller outer pins for smooth cornering, and offset center “paddle pins” that dig deep for forward drive. Manufactured in JConcepts’ sticky green compound, these tires excel in loamy or drying conditions, maintaining cushion and stability with included open cell inserts. Their vintage-inspired design, paired with modern material quality, makes them the ideal solution for racers looking for both heritage styling and next-generation performance.

9/13/26 Update: Just did a back-to-back comparison with a set of Goose Bumps and they had significantly more side bite than the Paddle Pins. Forward bite is comparable, but with the Goose Bumps, the rear end has a much more locked-in feel resulting in fewer spin outs. Officially switching to Goose Bumps now. The *second* best tires you can get for racing on real dirt. These were a game changer for my RB10 running on a loamy, loose dirt track that can vary from muddy to dusty within a single race day.
If you’re running on loose dirt or grass, this is the tire for you. It holds up in these conditions better than anything else and provides a very consistent and predictable feel. Once the track starts to firm up and get grooved the goosebump is my go to.
