JConcepts Reactor Stage 2 "Wolf" 1/10 Electric 4x4 Monster Truck Kit (Racer) (13" Wheelbase)
About this part
Premium RC Monster Truck Off-Road Racing Kit
Built for drivers who crave true retro monster truck attitude with modern race engineering, the Reactor Stage 2 "Wolf" Racer Edition 1/10 4x4 delivers the perfect blend of scale realism, 13-inch wheelbase stability, and competition-ready performance — giving you a chassis that looks right, jumps flatter, tracks straighter, and is always ready to crush, race, or freestyle on demand.
About the Reactor Stage 2 "Wolf" Racer Edition
Extended 13-Inch Wheelbase Performance
The 13.00” wheelbase gives the Reactor Stage 2 "Wolf" Racer Edition a balanced, scale-correct stance while dramatically improving straight-line tracking and jump predictability. The longer chassis jumps flatter, slows fore-and-aft bounce cycles, and gives drivers more time to react to take-offs and landings, making it ideal for controlled racing and freestyle-style driving.
Competition-Ready Retro Platform
Built as a true competition-inspired 1:10 retro monster truck kit, the Reactor is engineered for straight-line car crushing, U-turn layouts, Chicago-style racing, and figure-8 tracks. It blends race-bred design elements with classic monster truck character, offering a versatile platform to recreate iconic builds from past or present.
Premium Construction & Components
The kit features extremely lightweight and rigid carbon fiber chassis plates, all-aluminum oil-filled shocks, and a dual-shock leaf-spring suspension with solid straight axles just like full-size 1:1 monster trucks. Anodized aluminum hub carriers, suspension links, shackles, and hex adapters deliver durability, precision, and race-ready strength.
Dual Motor on Axle Drive
The innovative dual motors on axle system delivers impressive torque and smooth power delivery directly to the drivetrain. This layout improves traction and responsiveness while maintaining the controlled driving characteristics that make retro monster truck racing and technical driving so rewarding.
Driver-Focused Power Versatility
Designed for control rather than chaos, the Reactor performs exceptionally with a recommended 27T brushed motor setup while still supporting higher-power brushless systems if desired. This balanced approach lowers entry cost, sharpens driving skill, and creates a dependable 4x4 monster truck that’s always ready to crush, jump, and tackle varied terrain.

Parts for the kit are great but i would say pass on this kit, the assembly manual is little more than exploded views you would find at the back of an RTR manual. In my opinion calling what they give you a manual to help you build the kit is laughable.
This is a beautiful kit. A must for Monster truck lovers!
Absolutely awesome truck that's a nightmare to build! I wouldn't even attempt this unless you've done multiple other kits. This is so you have an idea of how these kits generally go together. The directions are very unclear and at times it was incredibly frustrating. Once you get it together though it's fantastic fun!
The quality and engineering of this kit is absolutely bananas!
Overall a nice kit, nice truck, the assembly manual is very difficult to follow, and even after 30 years of building kits, I haven't seen a worse manual. The differentials are incredibly difficult to assemble, otherwise, it went together smoothly. I had a few parts manufactured wrong, but Jconcepts customer service was right on top of getting me the parts quickly. Once put together it seems to work pretty well. I've only driven around the yard once, but for being a motor-on-axle truck with leaf springs, it beats a stock Clodbuster any day. Probably wouldn't touch a Mod-Clod though. For the money, I'd ONLY buy this kit again if I knew I were racing in this class. For the average monster truck fan, it's very expensive and complicated for a truck that's really only good for vintage style monster truck racing.
Reviewers broadly praise the kit's fit and finish, design and parts quality, and find the finished truck fun to drive. The assembly manual is the most consistent complaint: several describe it as unclear or hard to follow, while one reviewer found it adequate and suggests using build videos. The differentials are singled out as difficult to assemble, and the kit is described as complex and expensive. Some suggest it suits experienced builders. One reviewer reported manufacturing errors in some parts and said customer service resolved them quickly. Reviews all refer to the Racer variant with the 13-inch wheelbase.
