About this part

This is a pack of two JConcepts Ruptures 1.9" Crawler Tires, in Green compound. The Ruptures are that extremely tacky yet versatile tire trailing drivers lust for. The design starts with a layout of individual “large islands” that react to directional and forward loading characteristics like a soft gummy candy. The long horizontal attack bars are connected with solid sidewall detail which braces the sidewall for the high impact situations. The center “mini islands” help maintain spinning speed and at half height provide some space to sling clean during those dirty trail runs.

The entire top level of tread has built-in cuts and recessing which provide a sharp edge. A sidewall radial rib connected with a dual position arrow help maintain stability and help the driver squeak out of a tough situation. The super soft green compound grips like a monster, while the tall (125mm) profile tackles even the most treacherous terrain. The carcass itself is extremely pliable which conforms to the vast majority of obstacles. Inside the carcass, JConcepts features a connected “Y” loop ribbing design which blends carefully into the sidewall. The bracing supports the lower half of the tire while maintaining the upper flex characteristics.

The tires include a soft open cell foam insert capable of standing up the super soft compound but flexible enough for sharp terrain. Scale a path to JConcepts for that all important traction, consistency and all out performance from the company known for World Proven Innovation and Design.

Great tires and grip, but I did rip a sidewall on my third outing with these tires. To be fair, there was a lot of concrete and rocks in the river bed... but..just a heads up

Only have had a few short runs on these Ruptures, and can see I'll need a set in 2.2 soon as well. These things are great.

Excellent tire. Running them on my Capra and they are better than some other more popular tires. Using the stock foams vented proline rims. Mounted up in no time.

What can I say about these tires that hasn't already been said. they are stupid good, so much so they are banned in many competitions. If you are looking to see what your RC Crawler can do without worrying about the tire being a choke point these are the tires for you.

What reviewers say

Reviewers broadly rate these 1.9 inch Ruptures highly, praising their grip, sticky tread, and high performance on rock crawlers, with several noting they fit well on stock setups such as vented Proline rims. Some reviewers say competitions restrict their use because of the performance advantage. One verified owner reported unusual cuts or tears under the lugs on several tires after about five hours of use, and said the manufacturer attributed this to normal wear. Another reviewer reported a torn sidewall after rough use over concrete and rocks, while acknowledging the terrain was harsh. Most other reviews are short and positive, with limited detail on durability.

  • + Strong grip and sticky tread
  • + High performance on rock crawlers
  • + Good fit on stock vented Proline rims
  • + Positive retailer customer service
  • − Reported lug-base tearing on some tires
  • − Sidewall tear after rough terrain
  • − Banned in some competitions
