About this part

This is a mid size servo saver from Kimbrough Products. This servo saver comes with a small tree with three different splines on it for adapting the servo saver to work with KO, Airtronics, JR, Futaba, Thunder Tiger and Hitec servos. Kimbrough makes some of the best servo horns in the business, and their servo savers are second to none! If you have a high stress application where you do not have an existing servo saver, you can use this servo saver to help save the gear of the servo during hard crashes.

This servo saver jumped position on my servo on the second battery and having to remount it is a pain.

What reviewers say

Five reviews rate the Kimbrough Mid Size Servo Saver from 1 to 5 stars, with three positive and two negative. Three reviewers say it fits well and performs well on 1/10 WGT and pan car chassis, including 200mm and 235mm models, and on an RJ Speed Legend and Pan Car 3.2. Two reviewers report a 1-star experience: one says the saver fell off after two batteries on an XV01 with 2S LiPo in a non-bashing truck, and the other says it jumped position on the servo after the second battery, making remounting a hassle. Reviewers agree on fit and quality for their applications, but the two low ratings point to a recurring problem with the saver coming loose or shifting under use. The sample is small.

  • + Good fit on 1/10 WGT and pan car chassis
  • + Works well for 200mm and 235mm pan cars
  • + Good build quality reported
  • + Right size for RJ Speed Legend and Pan Car 3.2
  • − Can come loose after about two batteries

  • − Remounting is inconvenient
