About the AXXE 2.0

Chassis Design

The Kyosho AXXE 2.0 1/10 ReadySet Electric 2WD Buggy embodies an aggressive off-road aesthetic with a rugged roll cage design and a highly detailed desert buggy-inspired body. The newly updated body comes in two distinct color patterns, featuring stylish gray panels and bold decals, while the pipe frame structure mirrors the durability and functionality of real off-road rally buggies. A functional spare tire mounted on the rear enhances the vehicle's scale realism and can be swapped out for active use, adding a practical touch to its rugged appearance. The one-touch battery hatch stopper located at the bottom of the chassis allows for quick and easy battery swaps, reducing downtime between runs. Complementing the robust chassis are large-diameter block-pattern tires with reinforced white main wheels that improve tire fit rigidity. These tires excel in delivering stability and traction on a variety of surfaces, whether tearing through off-road trails or cruising on paved roads. Together, the chassis, roll cage, and tire design ensure that the AXXE 2.0 is both visually striking and functionally durable.

Suspension & Drivetrain

Built for superior off-road performance, the Kyosho AXXE 2.0 is equipped with a double wishbone suspension system on both the front and rear, delivering excellent road-holding capability across diverse terrains. The pre-filled oil shocks play a pivotal role in absorbing impacts from uneven surfaces, ensuring smooth handling and consistent performance. With ample suspension travel, the buggy effortlessly tackles bumps, jumps, and rough patches, making it an ideal companion for off-road adventures. The sealed gearbox design effectively keeps out dust, sand, and other debris, preserving the drivetrain's longevity and efficiency. Additionally, the gearbox has been refined to provide increased ground clearance, reducing road surface interference and optimizing power transfer. These thoughtful engineering upgrades make the AXXE 2.0 not only robust but also incredibly responsive in handling various off-road conditions.

Electronics

The Kyosho AXXE 2.0 is designed to offer an ideal balance of power and ease of use, making it perfect for beginners while still satisfying experienced drivers. At its core, the buggy features a G22 brushed motor paired with the waterproof Kyosho SPEED HOUSE KA040-71W 40A ESC, providing reliable and beginner-friendly power output. The ESC ensures seamless throttle control and allows drivers to navigate through puddles and damp terrains without worry. Enhancing the overall control experience is a waterproof 6kg high-torque steering servo, capable of handling heavy loads and ensuring precise steering even in challenging conditions. The included Syncro KT-232P 2.4GHz pistol-grip transmitter offers reliable signal performance, preventing interference and enabling multiple cars to operate simultaneously. With adjustable steering range settings and an intuitive interface, the transmitter provides precise control, making the AXXE 2.0 an excellent entry point for newcomers and a dependable platform for seasoned enthusiasts alike.

Timmy Klatteon Kyosho AXXE 2.0 1/10 ReadySet Electric 2WD Buggy (Orange)

My wife got this for me for my birthday-I told her to get something inexpensive. This buggy is definitely worth the price!! It's a little top heavy and will traction roll if you're not careful, but overall it's a fun basher right out of the box. You should experiment with the preload on the rear shocks to get it to go the way you want it-but that's part of the fun.I was very impressed with the Kyosho motor supplied with it-plenty of speed for my personal backyard track,if you prefer brushed power like I do.And the transmitter is perfectly adequate for this car as well. One of the greatest bargains for an RTR going today.

I bought 2 of these as gifts and then couldn't resist opening 1 to try them. Can't believe you can get this for $100 (less with Amain coupons). The transmitter is one of the best RTRs I've held, the car looks great and while you can see there they cut costs I don't know that it matters for a dirt racer. Surprised to see the high level of design quality from the battery hatch, tuning options, and even oil in the shocks! Phenomenal value.

I can't believe this is not the "2wd Budget Buggy of the year" Every year. It should be! What an exceptional value and excellent design. Kyosho should be selling these as fast as they can make them. If not I blame marketing and promotion. Seriously fun car at an unbelievably low price. Full ball bearings, oil filled big bore shocks, 48p gears and a really decent radio with separate electronics, no 2n1 esc/rec so upgrading is easy.

What reviewers say

All three reviewers rate the Kyosho AXXE 2.0 1/10 ReadySet 2WD buggy (Orange) five out of five and describe it as strong value for the price. Reviewers praise the included brushed motor for backyard use, the transmitter, and the oil-filled shocks and ball bearings. One reviewer notes the car is slightly top heavy and can traction roll if driven carelessly, and another advises experimenting with rear shock preload. One reviewer observes visible cost-cutting but feels it does not matter for dirt racing. The reviews are few and come from a small sample, so the overall picture is limited.

  • + Transmitter praised as good for an RTR
