About this part

The Kyosho MP9 TKI4 Hard Front "MS" High Camber Mount Shock Tower is an optional high mount tower. The mounting holes are set 2mm higher to deliver faster corner speeds. Beautiful option, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time that it requires taller shocks! That should be noted in the webpage description.

smooths out the aggressive steering inherent in the Tki4, does not take away steering but does slow the transitions = more front grip. i ended up going up to 2.5mm front sway as it does roll more and the package felt amazing. highly recommended for low grip

What reviewers say

Reviewers generally rate this high camber tower highly, with two of four giving five stars and one giving three. One reviewer reports it smooths aggressive steering on a Tki4 and improves front grip on low-grip surfaces, using a 2.5mm front sway bar. The main recurring issue is that the tower requires taller MS-sized shocks, which one reviewer felt should be stated more clearly on the product page. Another reviewer asked which shock length is needed, suggesting the requirement is not obvious. The 5-star review describing a matched package also reads like pasted catalogue text, so it adds little owner experience.

  • + Smooths aggressive steering on Tki4
  • + Improves front grip on low-grip surfaces
  • + Package felt good with 2.5mm front sway bar
  • − Requires taller MS-sized shocks
  • − Shock requirement not clearly stated in listing
  • − Buyers unsure which shock length is needed
