About this part

Champion-Level High-Performance Off-Road Japanese RC Kit

Redesigned from the ground up, the Kyosho MP11 unleashes a higher level of 1/8-scale racing dominance, packed with cutting-edge upgrades, pro-level tuning options, and aggressive aerodynamics that deliver unmatched performance on any track!

About the MP11

Precision-Tuned Race Chassis

The MP11 debuts an all-Updated 3mm 7075 hard-anodized aluminum chassis, redesigned for optimal balance and durability. The engine is moved forward 1mm and inward 1mm to shift the center of gravity forward, improving handling and control. Electronics and battery mounting positions have been revised for more responsive steering feel and enhanced stability. Updated bulkheads allow for adjustable differential height, while resin stiffeners and replaceable bushings at the rear enable fine-tuning of pitch and roll stiffness based on track conditions.

High-Performance Suspension Geometry

Revamped suspension arms now support optional carbon plates for customizable rigidity, and redesigned droop screws reduce friction and chassis wear. Precision resin bushings are used in lower arm mounts for refined tuning of toe angle and roll center. Upgraded aluminum front hub carriers feature 12° kingpin and 18° caster angles for better high-speed control. Rear hubs are pushed outward to reduce camber change, boosting cornering consistency. Updated 7075 aluminum shock towers and diaphragm-equipped oil shocks deliver race-proven damping performance.

Durable, Tunable Drivetrain

The MP11 retains a reliable shaft-driven 4WD layout and dogbone-style center driveshaft for high traction and throttle response. Updated reinforced differential bevel gears and larger pinion bearings handle extreme loads. The clutch bell and spur gear now use a 0.8 module for easier gear ratio changes. A split center diff mount allows quick maintenance without disturbing the brake cam, while added return springs on brake pad bolts improve consistency. Covered universal joints prevent grease loss and enhance durability under harsh race conditions.

Advanced Aero Setup

The MP11 features a completely redesigned low-drag body engineered for aerodynamic balance and stability. A lightweight, high-downforce rear wing with pre-marked airflow holes and included drilling guides offers extensive tuning options. Updated wing stays are lighter and allow both vertical and horizontal wing adjustments using spacers. Together, the Updated body and wing system deliver maximum control at high speed while reducing driver fatigue, enhancing both performance and visual appeal.

First of all, Thank you Kyosho for including a paper assembly manual! I absolutely hate the trend toward “digital” manuals. Honestly i have not bought certain brands because of this. As for the build, very impressive kit. Quality is top notch. Lots of trick new parts, Packed full of the latest design technology. Cant wait to get it on the track!!

Overall so far, this has been a really good car. It does rotate a bit more vs previous Kyosho cars but it's still overall a very safe car to drive. Kyosho has always been known for their safety and this car carries on that tradition and is overall easy to drive. The front end I would say feels very similar to previous Kyosho cars ie. very safe and secure. It's really the rear end that is going to be slightly different. They basically had to do that at some point with tracks coming up in grip. If the car grips too hard and can't go anywhere, especially with a lot of steering it can create a dangerous situation where the car can fly off the track so I think Kyosho made a good decision overall here. According to the drivers I believe, I think they said they developed this entire car in about 18 months ? or so which is absolutely incredible. That is not a lot of time. Overall in terms of how the car went together, it was pretty good. The quality as you would expect out of a Kyosho product is very good. It's very well made and Kyosho has always had exceptional build quality. The only part they kind of screwed up on was the front and rear driveshafts. They are about 1mm too short so if you run a lot of droop or like to run your rear pivot wider, this can be an issue. Kyosho has since released an updated bone (93mm) to counteract this issue. Overall it's a wonderful car. It's a bit more sensitive to changes vs previous Kyosho products but it is faster. Overall I think they nailed it. I think the overall safety and security that you get from one of these cars really makes the maintenance costs and purchase price worth it. It seems to do everything well. It rides well, it's smooth, it's predictable and it has that legendary Kyosho build quality and safety they are renowned for and it's just such a classy car. It doesn't get much classier than this car. The way it drives around a corner and stops etc is just unlike anything else. There is nothing else really like it and now it works better on high traction surfaces too. It's a much more progressive car than the previous models that came before it but it still keeps what we loved about the old cars for the most part. And it's a good car for a grown adult to drive, it's relaxing to drive overall and it isn't going to bite you if you make a slight screw up. It's forgiving, another trait of Kyosho cars. It's a very mature refined car. There is a reason Kyosho has the reputation they do and there is a reason it has just so much of a brand presence and the Inferno really is their most important flagship model for them. It really just sets a standard. I think as an overall product it is fantastic.

I am new to nitro but I think this going to be a great car. I recommend watching Ryan Lutz mp11 build videos. He has some great tips. I wish I had watched the video before starting my build. Also there is a supplementary instruction sheet out there that corrects a few issues. I recommend printing that off before you start the build. Big thanks to Amain hobbies and their tech support team for helping me through the kit and parts selections.

in general, with Kyosho dedication to moving forwards in RC cars, this was no Surprise, the car itself is so far been very easy to drive, and Adjustments have been easily Accessible, there is a Small Learning curve, like Center Diff, to Put in from Back to Front will help, and a Thin jaw pliers to hold Dog bones will help, only thing was and "For Me" was the airfilter system, not as easy as others where it would often be in the "Way" to move a rubber band to hold it off to side helps "ALLOT"! so getting to center diff is easier, or "4 hands are needed" same for center diffs, Super easy! just remember to if raising or Lowering the diffs! to "Remember to Reposition the Pinion Gear!" either up or down in conjunction of placement of Diff being Higher or lower etc. and using a small thin Screw driver to help move the Keyed diff insert will help as well it is easy to move so little pressure is needed. and for driving the car seems very responsive to "Adjustments" with the newer front Geometry the car is "Aggressive" yet Smooth and easy in its "Stock Format" to where small Adjustments will be only needed for "Personal Driving Styles" and related track Conditions. since driving in both Europe and back in the states, the car is definitely a car to work easy on European tracks! and the Bumpier and Rutted Conditions of most U.S. Tracks, i think many will really like this Version!!

What reviewers say

All eight reviews are five-star and come from the same kit variant. Reviewers agree the build quality is high and the car is easy and safe to drive, with a noticeable change in rear-end behaviour that rotates more than earlier Kyosho models. Several note a small learning curve around the center diff, dog bones and the air filter, and suggest using a rubber band to hold the filter aside. A paper manual is praised, and one reviewer recommends a supplementary correction sheet and outside build videos. Recurring issues are that bleeder shock caps and wheels are not included, despite listings suggesting otherwise, and that fluids are needed to finish the build. Several reviews are brief or only loosely about the product.

  • + High build quality
  • + Easy and safe to drive
  • + Paper assembly manual included
  • + Adjustments are accessible
  • − Bleeder shock caps not included
  • − Wheels missing despite listing
  • − Fluids needed to finish kit
  • − Air filter sits in the way during diff access
