Kyosho MR-04 EVO2 Mini-Z W-MM Brushless Chassis Set (8500kV)
About this part
Mini-Z Roller with Brushless Power
The Kyosho MR-04 EVO2 Mini-Z chassis represents a major evolution in Mini-Z performance, delivering advanced technology in a compact racing platform. This chassis builds on the proven MR-03 layout while introducing significant upgrades in handling, speed, and efficiency. With a sensor-equipped brushless motor, refined front suspension geometry, and a lower battery center of gravity, it provides precise control and extensive tuning potential. Designed as a foundation for advanced Mini-Z setups, the MR-04 EVO2 gives drivers the flexibility to build and tune their chassis to suit different bodies, racing classes, and driving conditions.
About the MR-04 EVO2 Mini-Z Chassis Set
Next-Generation Brushless Performance
At the core of the MR-04 EVO2 is its sensor-equipped brushless motor system, delivering precise performance and control for competitive Mini-Z driving. The updated unit supports motor RPM control through the I.C.S. Setting Manager, allowing power settings to be optimized for different racing classes while supporting compliance with 2025 Mini-Z Cup regulations. High-speed communication with compatible high-end transmitters and receivers provides significantly faster control response, with transmission speeds of 0.99ms with KO units in ADV mode and 0.9ms with Futaba units in EVO2 mode.
Redesigned Front Suspension & Precision Handling
The MR-04 EVO2 includes the high-rigidity Front Suspension Arm 2.0 as standard, along with a redesigned front knuckle featuring an integrated kingpin. The revised design improves camber stability during cornering, while optimized clearance between the kingpin and kingpin ball allows smoother suspension operation. Revised caster and trail geometry provide more linear maneuverability, and both narrow and wide front tread settings can be achieved by changing the upper and lower front plates and steering tie rod. Adjustable wheelbase settings also allow the chassis to be configured for different body types, while optional MR-04 front springs in different hardnesses provide additional tuning possibilities.
Low Center of Gravity & Efficient Drivetrain
The MR-04 EVO2 positions its AAA batteries lower in the chassis than the MR-03, reducing the center of gravity to improve stability through corners while enhancing speed and control. A ball differential comes standard to optimize the rotational difference between the left and right rear wheels during cornering, while its moderate slip action helps improve traction when excessive load is applied. All seven ball bearings use a three-millimeter internal diameter to reduce rotational resistance and minimize friction loss throughout the drivetrain.
