This is a nice kit but you should know that it does not fit standard 2s Lipo sticks as they are too thick for the battery hold down unless modified. The kit does recommend 2 batteries however. Both are made by Gens Ace and are only 18mm thick.
This car is actually perfect for the closed end bell motor class at our local Rchr off-road track it’s a straight forward build and handles really well right out of the box
I like the car! It runs smooth as silk and straight as an arrow. I would give 5* but do have a few complaints. 1- instructions were terrible… lots of plastic shims that were hard to differentiate and was just plain hard to follow. Other than 6 bags of part trees, the parts can be difficult to find. 2- the typical 1/10 scale lipo race batteries don’t fit. I Macgyver’d it with a zip tie for now. 3- the spectrum esc I bought BARELY fits… I had to cut the mounts off and sand even further and it’s still crazy snug. Now that it has been built and with a little part tweaking all is well. The car could win races, again it drives amazing. I would not recommend this kit for a beginner though.
Great little buggy! Picked one up for my daughter and we love it.
Not meant to be driven. Everything is plastic. Washers, pivots, pill inserts. It all wears down to nothing with just regular driveing. Also Kyosho does not offer replacement parts for this model. I lost a tie rod because it was one of many things flying off the car going around a dirt track so I found some Kyosho support online and they basically told me to use the tie rod of a different model. It didn't take two weeks to grind that car down by just driving it.
Reviewers generally praise the kit's build quality, fit, and on-track handling, with several calling it a strong buggy for practice or bashing. The most common complaint is unclear instructions, especially around the many plastic shims and part trees, and some advise having calipers or a mm ruler on hand. Fitment issues recur: standard 1/10 race LiPo packs and some ESCs fit poorly, often requiring modification. One reviewer found the plastic components wore quickly and reported difficulty obtaining replacement parts, while others said the build was enjoyable and the car durable. Several reviews are short or written before the build was completed.

- − Unclear instructions and hard-to-tell shims
- − Standard 1/10 race LiPo and some ESCs do not fit
- − Heavy use of plastic parts that may wear quickly
- − Limited availability of replacement parts
