Just to comment on the previous comment. This set does not require a set screw. The pins are captured by the bearing. This set is for the front and rear driveshafts not the center driveshafts.

They works just like they are supposed to and you are not supposed to put a set screw in. the hubs are supposed to keep the pins in.

Someone should let Team Losi know that the barrels that come in this set aren't tapped for a set screw, at least the ones I got from Horizon aren't, even with the same part #. How much sense does that make that the only thing you can use from this set is the pins?!?!?!

What reviewers say

Reviewers largely agree that this set does not use a set screw; the pins are retained by the bearing race and hubs, and the set is intended for the front and rear driveshafts rather than the center driveshafts. Most ratings are high (5/5) and describe the parts working as intended. One reviewer gave 1/5, reporting that the barrels they received were not tapped for a set screw, and questioned the design, though this appears to be a single report of a supplier-specific difference. Overall, the reviews are few and mostly consistent on fit and retention, with the lone negative review concerning tapping of the barrels.

  • + Works as intended
  • + Pins retained by bearing race without a set screw
  • + Fits front and rear driveshafts
  • − Barrels from one supplier reportedly not tapped for a set screw
  • − Not for center driveshafts
