The stock outdrives are terribly soft and wear very quickly which unfortunately makes these a must have item in the future. No point wasting money on another set of stockers that will just fail fast. For anyone wondering...these do fit on any Losi Ten series vehicle like the Ten-T, 810, or of course the Scte even though the description doesn't seem to indicate that. Being lighter isn't really important to most that buy these, or shouldn't be since the weight savings is no big deal. It's about the durability which is quite a bit higher.
Unfortunately a must-have upgrade over the stock outdrives. At least on the SCTE. But they do the job brilliantly, i made the switch(front-center-rear) in late september 2011 and so far the only ones that might need to be replaced are the ones on the rear diff. A rough estimate would be that they've been used somewhere around 200 packs.
Agree with the other reviewers. After your stock outdrives wear, invest in these. Also, get the lightened center outdrives, too.
Well they are definitely SIGNIFICANTLY harder than the stock outdrives on the Losi Tenacity Platform. That being said, they’re so hard they completely obliterated the pins on the dogbones. I wish I could show a picture. I’m glad I found some strong outdrives, but now I need to find some driveshaft pins that can actually handle them. Otherwise I’d be replacing pins every other session. 5 stars for them being effective doing their intended duty.
Great quality! And less rotating mass. After installing on all 3 diffs (center diff outdrives are different ) my truck is noticeably quicker.
Reviewers broadly agree that these outdrives are harder and more durable than the stock parts, with several reporting little or no wear after roughly 20 to 24 races or packs. Some say they fit a range of Losi Ten-series vehicles, including the SCTE, and one notes they fit more snugly in the diff. Two recurring concerns appear: one reviewer reports the hard outdrives wore out the dogbone pins, so harder pins may be needed, and one reviewer reports breakage after two races, attributing it to the lighter weight. Most reviewers say the weight savings matters less than durability. Ratings are mostly five stars, with one two-star review.
